Patio chairs are a fabulous way to expand your living space. Outdoors-and sometimes indoors-patio chairs can host spirited discussions or afternoon naps. Even if you have a small outdoor space, like an apartment patio or deck, patio chairs can stay out there on standby for the next time you need extra seating. Before you run out and buy whatever's on sale, though, stop and think for a moment about the climate where you live. If you're within about sixty miles of a coastal area, be sure to look for weather-resistant material like plastic, fiberglass or aluminum.
Having the flexibility to easily move your chairs into different positions can be extremely helpful. A good set of stacking or folding chairs are perfect for when you need to seat a large group of guests. Portable chairs are great because you can easily set them up throughout your yard, and when the party is over they'll go back in storage without any hassle. The downside to portable furniture is that it's typically lighter and less durable than normal outdoor chairs, so during windy days they may tip over. A great example is an outdoor folding chair.
